Welcome to Lake Diemelsee near Helminghausen in the Sauerland, one of the most popular holiday regions in Germany. This low mountain region has always offered active holidaymakers and those seeking relaxation a unique nature and leisure experience. The Diemelsee nature and holiday region is located in the idyllic mountain countryside on the edge of the beautiful Sauerland and not far from the tourist strongholds of Willingen and Winterberg. A true paradise for nature lovers, hikers, skiers, water and active sports enthusiasts, bathers and families. The holiday region is a beautiful green nature area and offers, among other things, certified hiking trails and designated mountain bike and cycle routes.

The exposed location in the low mountain range makes the winter season a special highlight in addition to the summer season. When the lake is frozen over, you can even go ice skating in the open air.

On the opposite shore in the climatic health resort of Heringhausen you can take a sauna and swim in the family and adventure pool.

You can also drive to the nearby ski resort of Willingen and enjoy the many restaurants, bars and cafés. There are also 3 large supermarkets nearby, accessible by car, and a village bakery about 2km away. A bread roll service in the morning can certainly be negotiated. There are also several restaurants within walking distance.
